Our long-term staff of ISA Certified Arborists and NYSDEC Certified Pesticide Applicators serves both residential and commercial properties in New York City and on Long Island’s north shore.
At Green Rose, we provide affordable organic tree and lawn care service while utilizing integrated pest management techniques. Integrated pest management controls unwanted landscape pests, and insects by using environmentally friendly methods first. We maintain a healthy ecosystem that naturally limits pests in the landscape as well as incorporate mechanical pest control methods such as traps, barriers, and beneficial insects such as lady bugs. These techniques limit or eliminate the need for pesticides.
John Verderosa’s interest in landscaping dates back to his youth. He started in the family lawn care business at the age of 15 and studied Horticulture at SUNY Delhi, NY. From there, John worked for a nationally known tree care company and became an ISA Certified Arborist in 1997 prior to founding Green Rose Tree and Lawn Care.
